Kim and Michelle flew into Palermo, a city and the capital on the island of Sicily.  Inhabitants of the island take great pride in calling themselves Sicilians. Michelle and Kim are staying at a wonderful 4 star hotel and going on adventures from there.  Can you believe that the hotel has no soda, candy or ice machines?   

Kim is on the steps of The Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele which is an opera house and opera company located on the Piazza Verdi in Palermo, Sicily. They enjoyed walking through the local market which has great, fresh, fruits, vegetables and baked goods.  Every meal they have eaten so far has been in outside cafe’s and restaurants, in spite of the hot and humid 90 degrees. 

The gentlemen in the photo is their designated driver and his friend.  Their driver takes them on their adventures while in Sicily.  Kim and Michelle have met the nicest and friendliest people while in Sicily. Everyone is very kind and welcoming!
