Welcome to Kim and Michelle’s adventure in Mezzojuso, a small town, more like a village where their father was born.

Mezzojuso is a historic hill town and municipality in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily, located about 35 kilometers southeast of Palermo with a population of around 2,600 residents. Here they were able to go see the house where their father (Tony) Antonio was born and grew up before immigrating to the United States!!

They met with a genealogy professional who discovered many documents, including birth certificates. LaBarbera is a common last name in Sicily. The photos and video below is of their visit to Mezzojuso.
