Welcome to Rome!

Kim and Michelle are now in Rome for the rest of the week. Rome is the capital city of Italy, famous for its nearly 3,000 years of globally significant art, architecture, and history.   They have some exciting visits planned:

  • The Colosseum: An ancient, iconic amphitheater that once hosted gladiator contests.
  • Vatican City: An independent city-state enclosed by Rome featuring St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.
  • The Pantheon: A former Roman temple with a remarkably preserved massive dome.
  • Pompeii: Largely preserved under the ash, Pompeii offers a snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried, as well as insight into ancient urban planning.
